Key Stage 3
During Key Stage 3 your careers journey begins at St John’s. You will learn about how your classroom subjects link to careers and how to develop your skills and interests. You and your parents will be supported with the GCSE choices you will make during KS3 — these will go on to form the post-16 choices you have at the end of Year 11.
Education activities will include: careers education units in PSHE lessons, access and use of Unifrog resources with an aim to raise pupil aspirations, exploring stereotypes in the workplace, and developing personal, social and employability skills. Assemblies from employers, apprenticeship/training providers as well as further and higher education establishments. Parent/student information evenings — these support options choices (Years 8 and 9), as well as dedicated careers events.
You can access your Unifrog account here: https://www.unifrog.org/
