WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Food Science & Nutrition
The WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition has been designed to provide learners with underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills needed to progress to further study and training. You will learn to demonstrate an understanding of the science of food safety and hygiene, nutrition, and nutritional needs of specific groups in a wide range of contexts. Practical sessions will support the gaining of theoretical knowledge and ensure learning is a tactile experience.
Modules Studied
Three units are studied throughout the course. Units will include internal and/or external assessments. Units studied are as follows:
- Unit 1 – Meeting Needs of Specific Groups (internally and externally assessed)
- Unit 2 – Ensuring Food is Safe to Eat (externally assessed)
- Unit 3 – Experimenting to Solve Food Production Problems (internally assessed)
